OUR WHY
November 2023 marked VPAC being a trusted beacon in the community for 19 years! We started in 2004 to answer the call of a group of students who organized themselves and needed support and guidance. Since then we have evolved into a full fledge school SYSTEM of independent schools, programs, and services that are built and led by students, families and community. The initial school demand by students, families, and community in 2014, called for VPAC to become an INDEPENDENT K-12 school. Exploring various ways of doing school differently, it was proven that the initial demand was the best option. Our students and families are ALWAYS right about how they want to be served. In 2020, VPAC was challenged with navigating how to serve and provide programming for students, as many other organizations were. The pandemic required VPAC to show up larger and bigger in the spirit of VILLAGE to ensure families and students were supported during unknown trying times. The obstacles and adversities became extraordinary opportunities and magnificent alignments that proved VPAC VILLAGE was larger than one school and one space to offer program and services. For the next two years, VPAC aligned with the right courageous disruptors and allies, restructured and rebranded with the input of students, families, and community. Developing and piloting original curriculum, VPAC is pioneering the inevitable new wave of independent schools that are becoming the alternative to school systems that continue to perpetuate racism, oppression, and inequities in education for students, teachers, and leaders.
From visions to VICTORY
VPAC is co-creating the SYSTEM of schools, programs, and services our students and families deserve.

OUR GOAL
VPAC has a goal of finding the most underserved school leaders and inviting them into a network of an independent school system that supports their vision of education that liberates in full fidelity. We know that independent schools will be the education that underserved students will feel the safest to reach their full authentic genius. The goal is to have one or more VPAC schools in heavily populated underserved cities throughout the United States. VPAC will achieve this in 5 ways:
1. Parent & Community Education- Understanding that independent education is an investment to communities.
2. Creating enriching educational experiences through partnerships and internships that align with student ILP's.
3. Rigorous curriculum that keeps students at least one grade level above core curriculum in public education.
4. Remaining and sustaining student led and family engaged education and programming.
5. Keeping tuition at the minimum national cost.

VPAC has expanded to become an 8 weeks-12th grade school.
