VPAC EDUCATIONAL MODEL
VPAC's approach to education invites students to lead their educational experience through spiritual intention, thoughtful, project-based, and academically rigorous learning. VPAC integrates academics and "A Projects" (arts, athletics, applied sciences, and agape) that are culturally competent to the authenticity of every student. The outcomes of VPAC ensure students continue, complete, and compete in an ever-changing world. VPAC prepares students for current fields and jobs not yet created with a focus on college and career readiness or advancement.
The VPAC Education Model is led by Mama Auset. "This work is student, family, and community-centered. Indigenous and holistic approaches that nurture natural learning, cultivate life-long, confident, and culturally competent scholars for the future. Not finding a full curriculum or school model that encompassed everything that VPAC has been organically doing for two decades, we knew we had to create and be what we needed. While I lead the fidelity of the model, the genius ownership belongs to our students and the community demand and feedback. Witnessing students learn their power and genius is truly one of the most rewarding experiences as an educator. The VPAC model was designed through an organic student-led, parent-advocated, community-supported, and teacher-guided approach.
